Clarksville is a village in Clinton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 497 at the 2000 census. It is served by the Clinton Massie branch of the Wilmington Public Library of Clinton County.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 497 people, 191 households, and 136 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,023.7 people per square mile (391.6/km²). There were 216 housing units at an average density of 444.9 per square mile (170.2/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.58% White, 0.40% African American, 1.01% Native American, 0.20% Asian, 0.20% from other races, and 1.61% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.01% of the population.
There were 191 households out of which 40.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.8% were married couples living together, 13.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.3% were non-families. 22.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 3.02.
In the village the population was spread out with 28.2% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 33.8% from 25 to 44, 18.3% from 45 to 64, and 10.1% who were 65 years of age or older.
